The R&D Department is specialized in development and industrialization of generic Solid Oral Dosage Form in Modified Release: -matrix tablets -multiparticulate systems (Pellets) -Osmotic-controlled Release Oral System (OROS) -enteric release formulations -fluid bed technology for granulation and coating -coating pan technology for granulation and coating Specialized also in development of Nutraceutical formulations, expecially in capsule and tablet forms. The R&D Department (total of 20 people) is composed of two different division: Pharmaceutical Technology Division (9 people). In charge of the Development and Industrialization of new formulations and new manufacturing process; in charge also of the continuous improvement of products already registrated. The division is equipped with all the technology necessary for the production of solid dosage forms: Hot-melt extrusion & granulation Extrusion & spheronization Wet granulation Dry compaction granulation High share granulation Milling Layering & coating in fluid bed Layering & coating in coating pan Tumbler blending Tabletting in single & double layer Laser drilling Analytical Development Division (9 people). In charge of the Development of new analytical methods; in charge also of the continuous improvement of analytical methods of products already registrated. The division is equipped with all the technology necessary for the analysis of solid dosage forms: Apparatus I (Basket) Apparatus II (Paddle) Apparatus III (BioDiss) Apparatus 7 (Alza Type) UV spectrophotometry HPLC UPLC DAD-HPLC IR Karl Fisher LoD Gas Chromatography DSC Laser PSD Flowability TLC The R&D Department strictly collaborate with the other Department as Project Management, since is responsable of managing the new products and optimizations, from the first phases of the development to the registration of CTD.
