Implemented a new feature which allows presenters to insert Slido poll results directly into their slides after an event. This is useful for users who wish to distribute their slides, such as professors. Interacted with a large TypeScript codebase. Ported elements that display poll results from AngularJS to React and from CSS to JSS. Evaluated multiple approaches. Implemented the solution in the Google Slides add-on (React + TypeScript). Since it runs on the client side, no infrastructure costs are incurred. If you don’t know about Slido: Slido is a Q&A and polling platform for live or remote events. Slido’s integration with Google Slides and PowerPoint allows presenters to embed interactions directly into the slide deck.

I tutored two groups of students for the course Introduction to Computation. My responsibilities included marking submissions, explaining topics, demonstrating solutions, discussing tutorial sheets and preparing additional exercises for the tutorials. Topics covered: Propositional and first-order logic, Boolean algebra, Karnaugh maps, SAT-problems (DPLL algorithm) and Finite state automata. All topics were delivered with a focus on implementation in Haskell.

Developed an Electron app with a React frontend for my colleagues. Automated 7 reports in Python using Pandas, reducing the time spent working on these reports by over 85%. Python scripts were compiled using PyInstaller and invoked as child processes from the app’s Node.js backend. The app was developed with expandability in mind. To this end I trained a new employee to maintain the app and automate additional reports, saving the HR department more time.

During my membership at HYPED, I acquainted myself with version control using Git and front-end development in React. I worked in a team of five on a modular dashboard for members of technical teams to debug sensors and control the hyperloop pod with. My responsibility was implementing the dashboard’s graph section.

My work scored an A (highest grade). Developed a JavaFX application as part of the Computer Science course.
