Strong interpersonal and communication skills working with cadets and instructors on a daily basis. Constantly working with group of people to get the mission done. Communicate my intentions and information clearly and precisely, orally and in writing. Back brief my cadets to confirm they understand what I expect, what needs to be done and what is going to happen. Use my problem solving skills to complete any mission I am given. Supervised, mentored and trained my cadets.

Answered any questions my clients have and help them learn the hand signals to train their dog’s basic commands, while my head trainer worked with another client. I helped administer the Canine Good Citizen Test and STAR Puppy test.

I was also responsible for drawing up vaccines and administering them, taking x-rays, restraining animals, blood work, prepping for surgeries, watching patient’s post-surgery, cleaning kennels, walking dogs, filling prescriptions, and discharging clients.

As a Customer Service Representative, my responsibilities were helping customers with acquiring shoes, bowling balls, attaining ramps for toddlers, grabbing stuck bowling balls, cleaning up spills, and any other service that was needed. As a food runner and prep cook I delivered the food to the lanes, prepped food for banquets, and helped where it was needed most.

Responsible for watching dogs during day care watching for body language, fighting, urination, and defecation. While dogs are not in day care, I clean dog/cat rooms, feed animals in the morning and night, and conduct potty walks throughout the day. Great communication skills while interacting with owners during drop off and pick up. Work overnights to make sure all dogs and cats are safe and calm.

My responsibilities are animal husbandry. I check on animals daily to see if they are well and if not to write them up and notify a Vet if the scoring behavior is a C or higher. I check every animal cage for food and water. Another responsibility is to help run cage wash and place items either in their correct location or in an autoclave.

I have participated in Pets Forever, the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science committee, Biomedical Student Association, and Pre-Vet club.
