Fully Qualified Field Operator, responsible for operation of station equipment associated with Unloading Shipments of New Fuel Bundles, Loading required combinations of "Standard" & "Long" New Fuel Bundles, and underwater Receipt and Storage of Irradiated Fuel Bundles at Darlington Nuclear.

As the sole permanent Training staff member with Fuel Handling experience on Units 1-4, I was responsible for all development, updating and delivery of "Initial Training" and "Continuing Training" for Fuel Handling Field Operators. I was also solely responsible for administration and delivery of Initial Fuel Handling Training for incumbents seeking licensed positions and Continuing Training for existing licensed staff on Units 1-4.

12 years of experience in P1-4 Fuel Handling Operations Department, as a Field Operator, Field Supervising Nuclear Operator, Control Panel Operator and Fuel Handling Control Room Supervising Nuclear Operator. Field Operators are responsible for surveillance of, and operation of, Fuel Handling equipment required to load "New Fuel" into the Fuelling Machines, and to transfer "Irradiated Fuel" to the Irradiated Fuel Bay. Field Operators are also responsible for the preparation, checking, application and removal of all Work Protection for Fuel Handling equipment. Control Panel Operators remotely operate the Fuelling Machines and Fuel Transfer System equipment, from the Main Control Room. Control Panel Operators are required to operate Fuel Handling equipment, as per approved operating procedures, while closely monitoring equipment performance, and responding appropriately to Alarms, or any abnormal equipment operation. Also fulfilled role of Primary Days Fuel Handling "Issuing Authority", as the single point of contact for all Work Authorizations and Work Protection, in support of all Fuel Handling equipment Outages & Unit Outages. Re-commissioned Unit 3 Fuel Handling equipment and was dedicated to de-fuel activities to support Unit 3 Safe Storage project. Served as Fuel Handling Representative in the Outage Control Centre during the P1281 Outage. Several years of experience related to Work Management, converting Work Requests into Work Orders and fully assessing all Fuel Handling Operator tasks, in accordance with governance.

Held several positions including Technical Support Representative, Tier 2 Technical Support, Shift Supervisor, and Call Centre Manager during tenure at BGI Systems Integration Ltd. Ultimately accountable for daily call centre performance, responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling and supervision of staff. Clients included Apple Canada, Staples/Business Depot, Globe & Mail, MFP, Patriot Computers, Supercom, Banctec, Human Resources Development Canada, AGFA, Synnex, iStar & HomeFreeWeb.

Responsible for day-to-day operations of multiple farms, including crop management, dairy herd management, and daily milk production operations. Also responsible for daily operation and routine maintenance of all mechanical equipment, and agricultural machinery, as required.

Responsible for retrieval, and re-filing of data tapes, from/to vault, as required, to support daily and month-end batch job data processing. Also responsible for preparing shipments of data tapes for off-site backup.

Assisted Information Services Section Project Leader (Jason Leung). Resized Pre-Job Briefing Maps, designed on UNIX platform, to allow printing on Letter sized paper over the Pickering LAN. Supported Pickering Accounting Department by analyzing existing dBase reports, determining modifications required, implementing the modifications, and obtaining user acceptance.
