Responsible for driving product development, by assessing market trends and consumer demands, as well as being up to date with ingredient developments. I work with multiple teams within the company to ensure the products are delivered on a timely manner, with the appropriate information and as expected and required by internal and external stakeholders. My scientific background allows me to critically assess ingredients and suppliers claims, as well as being able to use scientific literature and information to formulate an effective product. I also assist the customer facing teams in creating scientifically-based marketing message.

Responsible for the extensive portfolio of Abcam's cellular assay range, which covers a broad range of products for studying areas such as metabolism, cell damage and cell viability and apoptosis. Responsible for developing the marketing strategy of the assays range, which includes identification and addition of new products of interest to researchers, as well as directing tactical marketing activities together with the digital marketing and customer-facing teams.

To investigate the molecular function of BRCA1 (Breast Cancer Associated Protein 1), an E3-Ubiquitin Ligase involved in breast cancer predisposition. This role involved not only technical work, but also analysis of existing data (published by other labs), oral presentation of own data to colleagues and external audience, poster presentation in international scientific conferences.

Study the molecular basis of Fanconi Anemia (FA), a genetic heterogeneous disorder with cancer predisposition. The research involved both basic molecular and cellular study of FA cells, and the investigation of a translational approach towards cancer treatment.

Explore the catalytic activities of different mutants of VAO (vanillyl alcohol oxidase), an enzyme that convert vanillyl alcohol into vanillin. Vanillin can be used as flavouring agent in foods instead of natural vanilla.
