I am a second year undergraduate student with a major emphasis on physiological science. I am pursuing research and clinical work related to science and technology. I want to gain more experiences in the health field by shadowing or working at a clinic. As a current volunteer at Ronald Reagan, I have experience talking to patients and guiding patients to their appointments. The communication and leadership skills that I gained from that position will help me in future careers. Growing up in a diverse and low- income community taught me to fight for opportunities and pursue my passion because that is the only way to get out of poverty. I want a career in the health field so I give back to my community that I grew up in. I believe that education is the only way for low income communities to move in a forward direction.
