About
Currently pursuing my Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University, I aspire to be part of a company committed to expanding technology in the world using innovation. I am a self-starter, highly motivated individual interested in pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering. Over the years, I held several leadership positions and have been involved with multiple engineering clubs and internships, improving my technical and interdisciplinary experience. I am determined, hard-working and have a learning mindset that enables me to solve problems with creative solutions. As a GEM Fellow, I aspire to support and empower Latinx communities to pursue careers in STEM. I love jiu-jitsu, playing soccer, listening to music and playing guitar. Experience

Engineering Intern
- Developed a model to analyze post-placement and routing circuit designs, evaluating impact of buffering on performance and efficiency of Fusion Compiler’s buffer placement using power, performance, and area metrics - Created supplemental scripts to improve performance of Synopsys tools, contributing to overall design optimization - Prepared and delivered a comprehensive GenAI presentation on large language models (LLMs) and hardware accelerators to clients and internal teams

Hardware Engineering Lead
UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences
- Developing ground-based magnetometer hardware for several magnetometer stations around the country for measuring geomagnetic field fluctuations/aberrations during solar eclipse events - Designed high precision signal processing PCB communications system for live cellular data transmission, including antenna impedance matching, level shifting, efficient power design, and more

Electrical Engineering Intern
- Characterized complete power consumption of an in-development insulin pump by isolating different components from the rest of the board and measuring their current draws during different modes & functions of the pump - Created battery life estimates for a different in-development insulin pump by filtering, visualizing, and analyzing signals from the MCUs and current data of peripherals to determine on-times for different functions of the pump, and calculating total energy consumption - Designed Battery Simulator using power amplifier circuit on Altium, tested using LT-SPICE, in order to perform characterization more efficiently

Smart Infrastructure Intern
- Engineered electrical designs of infrastructure system installations for projects ranging from $1-3 million - Initiated gun-shot detection system project which automatically detects and alerts when a gunshot sound is made in the environment with microphone, microcontrollers, and convolutional neural networks in python - Supported development and ensured success of projects ranging between $2-3 million by analyzing & visualizing data, conducting financial evaluations, and engaging in on-site management

Data Automation
Responsible for the development of automated programs for data analytics and data visualization of several projects created to optimize business processes and improve the company’s productivity. Application of data automation techniques using Microsoft Office, Google Script, JavaScript, and HubSpot.

Engineering Intern
Managed process improvement initiatives with several different teams and used Microsoft Excel to conduct data analytics for product manufacturing and efficiency. Improved overall equipment effectives by more than 20% by implementing one piece flow in packaging procedures. Developed financial models to evaluate costs of new projects in various branches and updated plant layout using AutoCAD software.

Research Manager
UCLA Undergrad Research – Mohanty Lab
University of California, Los Angeles
Researched factors which determine the efficiency of pathogen removal in retention ponds using online databases, excel, MATLAB, and conducting literature reviews
