• Optics lead of the latest generation wafer inspection equipment, multiple units shipping to customer. • Optical designer of the Surfscan SPX series wafer inspection system (close to 1 billion dollar revenue and counting), responsible for design and analysis of beam shaping, aberration compensation, scanning beam generation, high speed autofocus system and high NA collection optics. • Develop optical specification, conduct optical design reviews, develop metrology and alignment plan and optics drawings for prototyping and outsourcing; work directly with mechanical engineers on iterating opto-mechancial design; qualify incoming optics and lead prototype build and integration, from bench to final product; qualify vendor's capability and provide engineering support to keep all parties on schedule; train and qualify oversea manufacturing. • Design and evaluate 2D diffractive optics for wavefront sensing using wave propagation analysis.

1. Working closely with researchers of Center, have participated in various projects. Many of them fall on optical testing & fabrication, optical design and mechanical design. 2. Published 9 journal papers and invited conference papers. In 2011, my Ph.D. research work was featured on the front cover of "Huntsville R&D Report". 3. My work on the freeform optics led to a subsequent $850K NSF funding (Award ID 0923157).

Teach undergraduate physics labs of all levels and assist in grading for physics professors. Job includes lecturing lab materials, help students understand the lab and provide help when needed, grade lab reports, protocol exams and grading for senior level physics classes.
