• Originate and execute transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity placements, fairness opinions, and senior and subordinated debt issuances, enabling clients to divest, acquire or merge companies. • Analyze, model and evaluate investment opportunities for the private equity division, including calculation of ROI, and the effect of leverage under different scenarios to help the partners make more-informed decisions. • Lead workgroups to perform due diligence, valuate projects or companies in diverse industries (real estate, private health, luxury goods, self-storage, construction); analyze returns, research industries to corroborate our selling strategy and valuations, prepare documents and visit banks, private equity and pension funds, to obtain funding/equity for our clients. • Benchmarked real estate projects both in Mexico and in the US to determine comparable project pricing, redesigned the shareholder structure, and secured US$5 million debt, with no personal guarantees and during the crisis, for development of Mexico’s first Senior Living facility. • Analyzed multiple strategies for the biggest private hospital in Mexico (US$300 million) to prepare for its IPO, generating more than 10 offers from the biggest private equity firms in the US. • Secured equity from a New York-based private equity firm for the acquisition of a luxury goods company in Mexico, enabling our client to become one of Mexico’s biggest players in the industry. • Obtained several letters of intent to secure US$300 million in debt/equity for the biggest self-storage company in Mexico and second biggest in the US to build 50 new self-storage developments. • Developed the valuation for the only hardwood floor engineering company in Mexico at more than US$30 million to restructure the debt and sell the company.
