At BeAM Machines, later acquired by AddUp, I led several R&D projects focused on improving the reliability, robustness, and monitoring capabilities of the Directed Energy Deposition (DED) additive manufacturing process. My responsibilities included the development of advanced control systems integrating technologies such as cameras, pyrometers, photodiodes, and custom powder flow sensors. I also worked to improve laser energy distribution and power control to optimize the performance of BeAM's DED process. In addition, at the end of my journey at AddUp, I managed large collaborative projects and led the R&D efforts for DED machine technology.
