Frédéric Blanchet

𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐱 𝐝𝐮 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, with a Gold certification and the Public Choice Award in Architectural Photography, my work is part of a practice in which the image becomes language, memory and transmission. Born in France, I was shaped by a culture where stone, light and history are in constant dialogue. These foundations nurtured a gaze attentive to structure, to the way architecture does not merely shelter, but reveals an era, a vision, an intention. Before dedicating myself fully to photography, I moved through the world of business. That path was not a detour, but a preparation. It taught me rigor, strategic vision and an understanding of the human stakes behind every project. When I chose to return to what truly matters, the camera was not a tool of reinvention, but a natural extension of that search for meaning. I do not photograph buildings. I photograph the void they shape, the light they hold, the silences they contain. My work explores the boundaries between architecture and emotion, between the tangible and the invisible. Each image seeks to translate not only an architectural intent, but also an atmosphere, a breath, a fragility. Based in Quebec for nearly 20 years, I work between North America and Europe. My images accompany architects, designers and professionals of the built environment who seek to tell more than a project. They seek to reveal a vision, a stance, a signature. The recognition received at the Grand Prix du Design does not mark an arrival, but a milestone. It strengthens a journey undertaken more than fifteen years ago, where photography becomes an act of presence, a dialogue between space and soul.

Immostudio is a real estate photography agency founded by Frédéric Blanchet, a seasoned real estate photographer. Since 2011, Frédéric has successfully completed thousands of property shoots in Montreal, Montérégie, and the Eastern Townships, where he resides. Driven by the desire to leverage his expertise for the benefit of real estate brokers across Quebec, he launched the agency in 2024. Immostudio consists of carefully selected photographers from various regions of the province, with the mission of helping real estate brokers enhance their brand image through marketing that focuses on quality and attention to detail.

Frederic Blanchet has had a rich and diverse career in the industrial manufacturing and aeronautics sectors. He began as a commercial assistant at AIR LB France, a seven-month stint that laid the groundwork for his skills in sales and marketing. From 1993 to 1994, Blanchet broadened his international horizons as the Deputy Sector Manager for an economic mission at the French Embassy in Cairo. His career took significant flight at AIR LB International, where he worked for nearly six years as the International Marketing Manager. There, he managed relationships with major clients in the aeronautics and transportation sectors, reinforcing his expertise in the field and his ability to handle international sales. After gaining experience in the aeronautics sector, Frederic was entrusted with the role of Export Area Manager at TAT Industries, later known as Sabena Technics, where he was responsible for sales development in Southern Europe as well as the Middle East and North Africa region from November 2000 to November 2002. An entrepreneur at heart, he launched Epoxy Tech Europe and served as its founding president from March 2003 to October 2006. The company specialized in the trade of composite materials for both private individuals and professionals in the naval construction industry. Starting from November 2006, as the president of Fabri-Metal, he led a company specializing in the manufacturing of metal components and welded assemblies for the transport sector. In parallel with his role at Fabri-Metal, he also revitalized Fibrocap Inc., a company that specialized in the manufacturing of fiberglass boxes, guiding it through a restructuring process and subsequent sale between 2007 and 2009.
