The main tasks in 2G planning are: • Dimensioning the RAN network (number of TRX, BSCs) • Planning BTS site in a GSM RF planning tool ( TCPU) • Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: BSCid , CELLid, MCC, MNC, LAC, SAC, EA, HSC,TG, neighbors • Analyzing site performance after integration through drive test measurements and/or OSS measurements (RNO) The main tasks in 3G planning are: • Dimensioning the RAN network (number of channel elements, Node-Bs, RNCs) • Planning the Node-Bs in a WCDMA RF planning tool (TCPU) • Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: RNCid, CELLid, MCC, MNC, LAC, RAC, SAC, CId, UARFCN frequency, scrambling code, T cell, neighbors The main tasks in 4G planning are: • Dimensioning the RAN network (number of Resource Bloks,e- Node-id) • Planning the e- Node-B in a LTE RF planning tool (Mentum Planet ) • Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated:dlChannelBandwidth, ulChannelBandwidth, physicalLayerCellIdGroup ,physicalLayerSubCellId ,cellRange, rachRootSequence.
