Provide scribe services and manage clinical information for patients at Overlook Emergency Department in Union, New Jersey. Increased knowledge of medical terminology and physician notes through EMR software, EPIC.

Create a holistic health care model at Zufall Health Clinic, a federally qualified health center, focusing on immigrant children and children who have been detained at the United States border. Conduct summary statistics of immigrant minors at Zufall to determine the general demographics of the patient population. Generate set of recommendations for Zufall to implement when treating this special population, including a medical-legal partnership as well as focus on social factors, such as parental occupation and transportation

As a research intern for the WHI, I was a principal investigator in this project of evaluating the health literacy of contraception to analyze knowledge, perception, and attitudes between women of three generations. I conducted an extensive literature review using primary and secondary sources of contraception knowledge and perception. I created a survey, using questions from previously validated surveys on contraception, and modified them based on current research. I plan on analyzing and evaluating the results of the questionnaire to determine which generation needs most attention and focus.I created a long-term plan to introduce an App by the RWJUH WHI for women to evaluate and utilize the proper contraceptive method based on age, health concerns, personal preferences, and other important factors.

Working under Albert Einstein College of Medicine & SAPNA - New York on three research studies to improve South Asian health, delivery of care and management, and identify the health needs of South Asian immigrants to better services and programs that can be delivered to South Asian patients in the future.
