Running global innovation to develop cutting edge spunbond/spunmelt nonwoven and engineered fiber solutions for hygiene, medical, and filtration industries along with specialty technical applications

- Lead research and innovation in four different R&D functions ranging from product development in baby-, adult-, and fem-care disposable hygienic products to material development in non-woven and hygiene film applications with a special focus on fast moving consumer goods.

- Responsible for coordinating the innovation management activities within the company; technology roadmapping, project categorization, IPR/reward management, and running innovation management steering committe. - Run European research support programs and initiatives (H2020, EUREKA, and ERA-NET). - Bridged the technical gap between academia and industrial manufacture by coordinating multilateral collaboration projects among SMEs, Universities and key suppliers.

- Managed R&D team for polyethylene film and polypropylene non-woven raw material development and research activities for baby diaper, fem-care, and adult incontinence products. - Managed product and material development efforts for the polyethylene packaging films for detergent, tissue paper, and disposable hygiene products in Hayat Kimya. - Supervised packaging development team for hygiene division for baby diaper, fem-care, and adult incontinence product packaging applications - Lead innovative research programs in Hayat R&D Center based on polymeric materials for the company's vertical raw material integration projects (domestic or international) and/or future technologies

- Managed product, material, and packaging development teams for hygiene applications (baby diaper, fem-care, and adult incontinence).

- Medium- and long-term material research innovation program for flexible and rigid packaging, detergent, disposable hygiene, and tissue paper categories. I also coordinated the collaboration opportunities with the academia on a global scale to pursue sustainable technology solutions along with green chemistry applications.

-Connected material technology developing startups lacking a well-established product and research development infrastructure. -Implemented nano- and clean-tech applications in several industrial markets such as plastics, ceramic, glass, packaging, construction, and renewable energy. -Had been involved in a large number of R&D projects both at a national and European level: 1. Manufacture Integration Projects: - Conservation of cultural heritage assets by a self-clean nano photocatalytic coating - Continuous spray coating process for a self-clean nano-coating on ceramic tiles - Non-stick nano-coating via a chemical vapor deposition process - Antistatic nano-coating for food packaging foils - Flow coating process for anti-fog nano-coating on large glass substrates - High performance insulation coating for industrial spray dryers - CNT water filtration membrane for emergency response market 2. Business Development Projects: - Custom designed nano clean-tech solutions for self-cleaning construction materials and easy-to-clean coatings for glass fabricators via a proprietary chemical vapor deposition technique - Managed the IP acquisition process of a European startup that invented a novel catalytic conversion technique to convert organic waste material into green energy. - Actively involved in technical marketing activities of several projects targeting local manufacturing companies, and then established account management infrastructure at various levels ranging from scheduling raw material import to establishing business plan strategies. - Prepared business proposals for potential business opportunities in Turkey - Performed risk and life-cycle analysis 3.
