Faraz H. Mirza
Head of Projects and Infrastructure @ Packages Group
About
My career has evolved from structural design and field engineering to enterprise-level capital governance—across Design-Bid-Build (DBB), EPC, multinational project delivery and owner-side environments, ultimately leading to the establishment of two corporate PMOs. Over 23 years, I have built an end-to-end understanding of how capital projects succeed: engineering and constructability, design management, procurement and contracts, project controls, commercial management, construction and commissioning, risk, investment evaluation and portfolio governance. That breadth allows me to operate at both levels that matter—challenging the engineering on the ground while helping executives make better capital decisions. My experience spans industrial manufacturing, power, infrastructure and real estate, including dams and hydropower, power generation and transmission, greenfield manufacturing facilities, brownfield developments, institutional assets, workplace and retail environments. I have worked across Pakistan, Qatar, Iran and South Africa, with owners, designers, consultants, contractors, EPC organisations, lenders, regulators and multinational operating teams. Today, my focus is capital productivity: strengthening investment governance, improving cost and schedule certainty, managing commercial and contractual exposure, embedding accountability, and building project organisations that deliver consistently. My leadership sits at the intersection of projects, infrastructure, facilities and sustainability—where disciplined governance, strong engineering judgement and commercial rigour convert capital expenditure into long-term business value.
