Fang Ruan

I’m a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group and lead BCG’s People & Organization business and China Academy in Greater China and Asia-Pacific. I’m passionate about learning management philosophies from entrepreneurs and helping business leaders transform their organizations to support their strategies. I have deep experience helping clients prepare for the future of work, with project experience across winning the talent war in the digital age, Jazz leadership, HR and organizational transformation, platform organizations, Agile at Scale, and corporate governance, among other topics. I’m a frequent guest speaker at leadership and talent events, and in 2019, had the honor of giving a TED talk on Taoism in Chinese Entrepreneurs. My talk highlighted the rise of unconventional management techniques — characterized by more collaborative, innovative strategies that resemble the philosophy of Taoism — across Chinese businesses. I graduated as an MBA from Wharton School University of Pennsylvania, and also hold a BA degree in English from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
