Fábio Azevedo is an Electrical and Computer Engineer, having a Master degree in Autonomous Systems from Porto Polytechnic Engineering School (ISEP, Portugal). He has been in the Aerial Robotics Research field since 2016. His work has focused on both software and hardware development. During the last years, he has participated in the development of custom multirotor UAVs, having designed and produced PCBs, developed low-level drivers for IMU sensors and GNSS receivers, and developed some high-level perception and control algorithms, using mainly LiDAR sensors. The implementations cover both simulated and real-world scenarios. At this moment, he is developing UAV-related technologies to apply in European projects.
