Led Minneapolis Public Schools through the development of a new five-year IT strategic plan that will bring one-to-one devices to every student and every employee by 2020. It’s among the most aggressive approaches regionally to pursue this goal; the plan is successfully underway. Within four months of serving in the interim chief role, I reorganized and stabilized IT operations and built a culture of customer service. I prioritized employee morale for the department’s 75 staff and developed leaders from within the department.
