• Recruited to lead exploration of commercialization of QSI nano-technologies in multiple thermo-catalytic applications—investigating, testing, validating, and commercializing novel technologies. • Developed and scaled new technologies to showcase product commercialization viability to potential customer and investors. • Created novel dispersion method to apply nano-metals to emission control catalyst technologies—filed patent application. • Built and operated home-based laboratory in Michigan that generated nano-based catalyst and developed activity tester to show catalyst performance and durability. • Developed 12 nano-catalysts for 5 major emission control arenas—TWC, DOC, DPF, VOC and NSCR.

I was recruited to lead newly-created Advanced Engineering group—developing, proposing, testing, and implementing new and marketable emission control products (diesel-related catalyst technologies). DELIVERED RESULTS: > I served as “R&D Program Leader” that created 3 new technologies with 4 granted patents—with estimated $100M+ commercialization value. > I enabled Tenneco to be in the forefront of new exhaust technology and materials after implementing mobile on-board testing equipment utilized as analytical tool and product innovation during marketing shows. > I functioned as Technology SME for all emission control products, including acting as Tenneco Board member for MECA (Manufacturers of Emissions controls association) and providing advisory services to Executive management on North American and EU emission control regulations and updates with (Environmental Protection Agency) and CARB (California Air Resources Board).

I was recruited to implement new processes and technologies in South Africa (SA) and eventually led the manufacturing team, including creating and directing technical and quality team at the Italian ETG division. DELIVERED RESULTS: > I boosted productivity (SA: ~600k catalysts/year to >4m/year, Italy: ~2.5M/year to >4M/year) and reduced scrap after developing and implementing New Machinery at 2 different sites. > I enabled Engelhard to acquire new OEM customers and expand no° of products to existing OEMs at 2 different sites after improvements to processes, introduction of new technologies, and execution of various quality standards. > I centralized all data, lowered redundancies, and improved turn-around speed from new technology to product out of door by creating and implementing multi-user data tracking database at 2 different sites.
