Responsible to manage the Quality, Health & Safety-Environmental in Latin America Region. Implementation and maintenance of QHSE Management Systems. Region was Certified ISO 9001, 14001 and ISO 45001 in Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Mexico. Provide technical assistance to implement Environmental Programs in the Region (environmental permit, waste management, environmental monitoring, energy conservation, training, hazardous substances management, emergency response and spill control, etc). Review QHSE contract requirements to support compliance assurance. Support QHSE Due Diligence for Merging and Acquisitions in Latin American Countries. Responsible to create and develop the Quality-Health & Safety- Environmental Department for Rolls-Royce energy Division in South America, supporting all Energy Services Projects in the Region (Engineering, Installation and Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Field Services). Responsible for Environmental Permit process for R-R Energy bases in the Region. Review of QHSE contractual requirements for compliance assurance. Provision of environmental information for inquiry-to tender packages. Implementation of Environmental Programs and procedures for Rolls-Royce locations in South America. Technical assistance for environmental due diligence for new projects. Lead of HSE Systems and Standards harmonization for RR Energy in Global Level. Member of R-R Energy Global QHS&E Audit team to Rolls-Royce projects in US, UK, Venezuela, Canada and Caspian Sea (Azerbaijan). Implemented Quality Management System at Rolls-Royce Brasil – Energy Division. Support Certification in Rio and Macaé Facilities in ISO 9001:2008, achieved in April 2007, and re-certified in 2008 version (April 2009).

Coordination of Environmental-Health & Safety – Quality department for Operations and Maintenance services at power plants, located at oil rigs and industrial centers in Macaé (Brazil). Maintain EHS Management Systems, control of hazardous chemicals, waste management and environmental impact management for services. Provide training to the workforce and perform Legal Compliance verifications. Review Environmental contract requirements and ensure they are followed at customer sites. Act as EHS Auditor for other GE Energy geographical areas (Argentina and Mexico). Support the environmental due diligence for upcoming project in Trinidad & Tobago (TPL Couva Power Plant). Working as an independent consultant in varied projects and acting as Environmental Auditor for different clients in the Chemical Industry: 2002- 2003 Environmental Legal Compliance Audits - DZ-56 for some clients (Eaton- Cutler Hammer Ltda, Panamericana S.A and IBF (Indústria Brasileira de Filmes Ltda). 2003 – 2004 – Consultant at SIG Consultoria Ltda, working in a Certification Program (ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001) for AC Engenharia e Sistemas Ltda. 2003 – Consultant in a Quality Assurance Program (ISO 9001) to JHF Quimica Ltda, at SIG Consultoria Ltda.

Working as a Consultant with multiple projects to support environmental management for Energy/ Oil & Gas business. 2001 – 2004 – QEHS Consultant in “SGI-BR” Project (Petrobras Distribuidora S.A.), Certification Program to Oil and Gas Chain Supply (more than 20 sites Certified in ISO 9001/ ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001) in Brazil. 2003 – 2004 – EHS Consultant for EHS Diagnosis (Environmental Aspects and Impacts Identification and Assessment/ Environmental Compliance Evaluation) at Franks International (Macaé site). 2003 – Development of an EHS Metrics System to Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. (Operations and Automotive Department) based on Balanced Scorecard Principles and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). 2003 – EHS Coordinator (Lead Auditor) in a Supply/ Contractor Qualifying Process for Halliburton Services. In this process, 86 suppliers/ contractors were evaluated and qualified in EHS for Halliburton sites in Rio de Janeiro, Macaé, Catu (BA) and Mossoró (RN). 2003 – EHS Auditor (ISO 14001/ OHSAS 18001) for Petrobras Upstream (E&P-SERV/ US-TA).

AFOEA was a group of five recently graduated biologists to implement Environmental Education Projects for schools and Social Projects. Main Tasks: Create material and deliver workshops to qualify teachers in Environmental Education as new discipline (defined by 1997 National Curricular Parameters in Brazil). Visit schools and Non-Governmental Organizations to develop Environmental Educational Projects related to their demands (art and recycling, community gardens, composting units)

Responsible to review the and provide technical assistance to the CODEVASF Environmental Programs (Conservation Units implementation, Environmental Impact from pesticides). CODEVASF is a Government entity which promotes the agricultural development of the Vale do Rio São Francisco area. Types of Projects involved in the review and development: Plan for Recovery of degraded forestry areas. Support to create private Conservation Parks for fauna and flora. Educational program to reduce the use of Pesticides in the Agriculture.

Member of researchers team at Animal Biology Department/ Institute of Biology. Developed research about feeding and reproductive behavior of fruit bats in the Atlantic Rainforest, with support of National Council of Scientific Research (CNPq).
