As a tester, I changed between working on Network Switches, to PC's and Laptops. While working on network switches, I created guidelines for testing and erasing data effectively. Daily use of data destruction tools was used in accordance to DoD 5220.22-M. The ability to troubleshoot issues was absolutely necessary and occurred daily. Programs such as Wireshark, PuTTY, PartedMagic, KillDisk were used daily.
