Working with foundation President David Spergel, founder and board chair Marilyn Simons, and the teams at Simons Foundation and the Flatiron Institute to grow and operate a private philanthropic foundation dedicated to research in mathematics and the computational sciences. Leadership and oversight across all aspects of the foundation's operational, financial, programmatic support, and administrative functions including Finance/CFO, IT/CTO, HR, Grants Admin, Facilities/RE, Events, Communications and Civic Affairs.

Worked on a portfolio of technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and innovation strategy projects across the university. These included a new incubator for early stage life sciences companies, a multi-institutional set of programs for cyber security tech transfer, planning and development of industry-academia co-location spaces, and a number of strategic industry research partnership agreements. Columbia Technology Ventures is the technology transfer office for Columbia University. CTV’s core mission is to facilitate the transfer of inventions from academic research labs to the market for the benefit of society on a local, national, and global basis.

NYCEDC is a independent not-for-profit which functions as the City of New York’s primary engine for economic development. Strategy and program management, with oversight of all sector-focused initiatives including biotech, smart cities/urban innovation programs, public-private partnerships with universities and research institutes, investment funds, and incubators. Also line management of Strategy, Asset Management, and Capital Construction business units. As Special Advisor, provide counsel and strategic guidance to the CEO.

Small Business Services (SBS) is a Mayoral agency which helps SME's in New York City to start, operate and grow by providing direct assistance to business owners and entrepreneurs, fostering neighborhood commercial development, and linking employers to a skilled and qualified workforce. Developed, launched and oversaw numerous new programs including WE NYC (Women's Entrepreneurship), Tech Talent Pipeline (public-private tech workforce), and Immigrant Business Initiative (immigrant entrepreneurship). Management of Finance, HR, IT, and associated corporate services functions.

Founded in 2000, MaRS (Medical and Related Sciences) Discovery District is a ~1.5M sf innovation campus based in Toronto, Canada. It brings together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers and educators to create significant economic and social impact in Canada and worldwide. Managed major corporate and programmatic functions, developed metrics/impact measurement, and built key relationships with partner organizations. Working with the CEO, developed strategy for the next phase of growth.

As part of the Administration of Mayor Michael R Bloomberg, oversaw analysis, recommendations and implementation on a wide range of economic development issues. Developed and led Applied Sciences NYC, which resulted several large university expansions including Cornell Tech, a partnership between Cornell University and the Technion (Isreal) to create a major new graduate tech campus in NYC. Also developed and launched incubator networks, entrepreneurship education, mentorship programs, public private seed and VC funds, and C-level public-private partnerships.
