About
Through my fellowship with OSU Extension's Farm Office, I research laws and regulations that affect the agricultural sector, with the aim of helping Ohio's farmers navigate a complex web of law. I am a 2018 graduate of the Michael E. Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, and am a candidate for admission to the Ohio bar. I value hard work, independence, reliability, flexibility, and loyalty.

law student intern
ohio department of natural resources
Through an internship with its Office of Legal Services, ODNR has provided me with in-depth exposure to the operations of a major state agency. I have prepared numerous research memoranda on questions affecting ODNR and its divisions, and drafted numerous litigation holds. Further, I have assisted with conducting public records request reviews, proofreading contracts, reviewing rulemaking proposals, and more. The internship has required me to conduct significant research in the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Administrative Code, and Code of Federal Regulations. The staff has been most generous with helping me to develop my understanding of state agency operations. ODNR's Office of Legal Services has a very collaborative and friendly staff, which has allowed me to learn from individuals with extensive knowledge in a variety of issues from parks and watercraft to oil and gas, and from Ohio public records laws to state contracting requirements.

As an intern in the Office of the Ohio Senate President, I worked alongside office and Majority Caucus staff on constituent services. Duties performed include drafting letters, researching topics, preparing honor roll certificates for 12th Senate District students, creating a database of state legislative leaders from across the United States, attending committee hearings and Senate sessions, and general office tasks. While the internship took place at the Ohio Statehouse, the Ohio State University's Office of Government Affairs coordinated the program and facilitated a class on public sector leadership and working in government.

band camp counselor
celina city schools
During late July in 2011, 2012, and 2013, I served as a counselor for the Celina High School Marching Band as they went to Rio Grande, Ohio for camp. For many students this was their first experience away from home for an extended period of time and for some others the first time they had lived in dormitory style housing. My responsibilities included ensuring student safety, staffing group events, working on the field with the students, motivation, and instruction.

faber and associates
At Faber and Associates, I was fortunate to gain in-depth exposure to the inner workings of a civil litigation firm. I performed legal research and drafted memoranda regarding a wide range of topics, including zoning issues. I drafted a variety of civil litigation related documents, and assisted with discovery. Working at a small firm in a rural area allowed me to work closely with the staff of the firm. My experience proved very rewarding as I have gained exposure in a number of areas of law and in addition to seeing first hand how cases are handled step-by-step.

As a Community Advisor, I was responsible for building a cohesive community among diverse populations of students, including a mix of graduate, professional, and undergraduate students. Community Advisors are responsible for hosting a variety of programs relating to the topics of community, wellness, inclusion, and learning. In addition to organizing my floor community, I worked closely with the Housing Coordinator, three Community Advisors in my building, the front desk staff, and a number of additional Community Advisors and Resident Advisors to create an extraordinary experience for the residents of on-campus nine residence halls. About once or twice a week, I an responsible for being on call for the complex. The Community Advisor serves a number of customer service responsibilities. During the night, the Community Advisor conducts community walks through the nine building complex to ensure the safety of residents.
