R&D Engineer-in-Training
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Working in a team of chemists and engineers to develop and deploy electrochemical Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) systems for the storage and transportation of hydrogen. Design, implement and iterate novel benchtop electrochemical hydrogen (LOHC) reactors. Specify and source mechanical plant parts for small and pilot scale projects. Liaise with contractors and external engineers in the development of key LOHC technologies. Oversee and drive lab modifications to facilitate additions of critical equipment. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) team member, responsible for producing and implementing critical safety initiatives.

Advanced Manufacturing Process Coop
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada
Contributed to the development and manufacturing of commercial hydrogen fuel cells. Worked as a member of the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) team, a key component of a hydrogen fuel cell. Collected and analyzed manufacturing data to improve production metrics and efficiency. Worked extensively with the coding and operation of optical measurement systems. Completed iterative trials to improve and optimize critical equipment in the manufacturing process. Wrote safety and technical documentation for the qualification of new equipment.

Research and Development Coop
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Worked in an interdisciplinary development team in the Geoscience division. Completed 3D mechanical design, fabrication, and installation of custom rigs for testing mineral sensors. Performed data collection and analysis to create mathematical mineral grade models for clients. Enhanced the safety of the radiological sensor testing chambers. Advocated for and initiated the use of 3D printing at Minesense Technologies.

Exploration Field Technician
Dawson, Yukon, Canada
Worked in a small mineral exploration team, collecting soil samples for geochemical analysis in a number of isolated locations in the Yukon, Labrador, and Newfoundland. Navigated difficult terrain to obtain mineral samples along a precise grid line. Directed and loaded helicopters for daily travels and establishing or resupplying remote exploration camps. Maintained field camp and equipment.
