- Coordinated the technical review and finalization of the study protocol on Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) in Angola, ensuring its alignment with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) latest guidelines for 2025 and incorporating the MOTIVE package approach for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. - Strengthened national and provincial capacities in maternal health through the design and support for the implementation of a Training of Trainers (ToT) program and cascade training sessions, which enabled the training of more than 160 health professionals from various health facilities in practices for the prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. - Promoted coordination among multiple stakeholders, including the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Ministry of Health, Provincial Health Directorates, and technical partners, contributing to the reactivation of Maternal Death Review Committees and the strengthening of surveillance systems for maternal mortality and the quality of health care in Luanda Province.

- Managed and oversaw, over a four-year period, the $10 million USAID-funded Family Planning and Reproductive Health project, focusing on the quality of services, contraceptive security, as well as alignment with national health priorities. - Supported the coordination among the Government of Angola, USAID, UNFPA, UNICEF, the World Bank, and implementing partners to advance national reproductive health policies and secure the Government of Angola’s signature on the FP2030 (re)Commitment. - Coordinated a portfolio of over $25 million to support the COVID-19 response, including overseeing eight partner organizations and supporting national vaccination strategies, monitoring, and donor accountability. - Coordinated PEPFAR-funded HIV/AIDS programs in four provinces of Angola, leading initiatives to improve quality, strengthen health systems, and promote retention in antiretroviral treatment in accordance with international standards. - Provided technical support in developing evidence-based gender analyses across USAID’s various health programs in Angola (such as sexual and reproductive health, financial literacy, malaria, etc.) to ensure inclusive project implementation. - Oversaw implementation partners supporting polio surveillance and immunization activities in rural areas of Angola, ensuring the technical, operational, and financial quality of interventions and contributing to the strengthening of vaccination systems and increased access to essential vaccines in vulnerable communities.

- Managed a cross-department team of 10 people, from different departments, to implement the reproductive health program of a five-year USAID-funded project in the provinces of Luanda and Huambo. - Exceeded the project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by 10% over two years of work, which led to a 25% increase in the overall budget of the family planning in the Health For All project. - Led the integration of Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV services by strengthening provider capacity to deliver HIV counseling and testing within Family Planning consultations and vice versa. This integrated approach improved access to comprehensive care, reduced waiting times, and increased routine HIV testing uptake among Family Planning clients. - Supported the reactivation and Ministry of Health approval of Angola’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Technical Working Group, strengthening multi-stakeholder coordination and promoting evidence-based discussions to advance family planning policies and programs nationwide.

My responsibilities include: - Cooperate with the Minister of Health (MOH) of Angola in order to introduce new Family Planning methods targeting adolescents and young adults. - Manage and oversee (where applicable) communication activities, including mid media and interpersonal communication - Plan and manage supply chain for the project ensuring zero stock outs of contraceptive products, packaging and communication materials - Manage sub –award relationships with local NGOs which involves capacity building of NGOs in designing, implementing and reporting on the activities. Ensure appropriate evaluation of sub-awardees based on PSI Angola policies and procedures. - Develop and maintain good working relationship with MOH of Angola on the national and local level to ensure governmental buy-in into project activities and strategies. Act as a liaison between PSI Angola and Angolan government in all issues related family planning programs ensuring that PSI Angola strategies are in line with the strategies of MOH.

- Conducted literature review on HIV/AIDS in Angola - Reviewed the HIV Behavioral and Surveillance Survey (BSS) conducted in Angola - Analysed the data from the BSS and successfully completed a master degree thesis.

- Participated on the Monitoring and e Evaluation team of the “Lifting Latina Voices Initiative” program. - Conducted literature review on research related to African American health issues - Developed a needs assessments Process for a Health Project destined for African American Women.

- Assisted Professors in teaching theirs classes. - Developed, administered, and corrected tests and quizzes in a timely manner. - Combined discipline plan with effective methods to increase interest, concentration, participation and student progress.

- Developed and maintained good working relationship with local and international NGO's as well as Angolan Health Departments. - Assisted and Participated on HIV-Related Social engagement such as the Seminar “Saber Para Reagir em Língua Portuguesa (Knowing to React in Portuguese Language)” organized by UNFPA Brasil in Angola; - Participated on team work to create the brochure “O Rosto do VIH e SIDA em Angola (The Face of HIV and AIDS in Angola).” - Organized a national contest on Population International Day destined to children and Adolescents

- Responsible for creating educative material on Maternal and Child Health and HIV and AIDS in collaboration with Key Angolan Health Departments - Assisted educational campaigns on Maternal Health, Obstetric Fistula and HIV/AIDS in Luanda, Uíge ad Cunene provinces. - Responsible for fund-raising activities. Raise funds for medical supplies for a hospital in a rural area in Cunene province
