Be the driver for accounting, economic and financial planning, treasury, legal and administrative activities of the Region. Key Responsibilities: ACCOUNTING • Support the delivery of month-end reports, working closely with the accounting teams to: - Provide accounting data (Sales, Margins, shrinkage calculation, etc.), - Support the accrual process and intercompany reconciliation, - Complete ad hoc analysis and reconciliations as required • Manage the yearly Financial Statements and assist the auditors REPORTING • Complete the monthly reporting package (including consolidation) in accordance with the Group reporting standards, • Prepare various month-end and quarterly reports (financial position, CAPEX, etc.), • Prepare, analyse and explain monthly store by store results to the Commercial team, • Prepare KPIs performance reviews for Area Managers and Regional Director, • Create business review presentations, and participate in Board of Directors meetings, • Create and submit forecasts and budgets, • Prepare business plans for existing and new countries. ADVISING • Calculate ROI and provide recommendation for investment proposals (stores/country openings), • Review margin and advise on pricing strategy, • Review the stock on hand position, calculate depreciation and provide recommendations, • Manage finance-related needs and requests made by the Middle East stores. TREASURY • Supervise and authorize the schedule of payments to suppliers, • Control cash flow in and out, • Prepare cash flow forecasts, • Define the short and medium term cash requirements. LEGAL • Ensure compliance with local laws and tax regulations, • Coordinate the implementation of VAT. OTHERS • Complete various monthly reports for different functions: HR, facilities, etc. • Coordinate stores and warehouse stock take (goods and assets), review and approval of results, • Coordinate all pre-opening activities relating to licenses, authorizations, insurance, credit cards, etc..
