I am working on the webservice platform created to offer online functionalities to AAA PlayStation titles. This high complexity application handles online features like player login, stats, matchmaking, high ranking tables, player interaction and also offers customized API for each game. In coordination with the design and marketing teams, I am also responsible for the development, load-test and deployment of the related web communities. The experience I accumulated working with this talented group is enormous and particularly significant in crucial areas such as SQL optimization, caching, load-testing, redundancy, cloud deployment, noSql, asynchronous processing and, last but not least, the ability of managing milestones by prioritizing development and bug-fixing to precisely meet the deadlines imposed by the game development life cycle.

I worked on an end-to-end game publisher platform for managing live game operations and a white-label web community application with leaderboards, e-commerce, forums, wiki, messages, player and gamer profiles etc. Here I consolidated and expanded my experience with micro payments, recurring billing cycles, fraud prevention, PCI compliance and integration with 3rd party APIs like PayPal, AuthNet, PayMo, Click&Buy and Incomm.

For four years VIPC or Venice International Photo Contest was a brilliant event that tried to fill the empty space left in 1979 by the departure of 'Biennale Fotografia'. I created the concept with a colleague and took care of different aspects to make it happen, from the management software to all the aspects of the exhibition and the printed yearbooks.

I worked on the official fan community and website of Miley Cyrus. Among other things, I created the customer support application, implemented the credit card payment library and integrated Google Map API to the in-house newsletter system for geo-targeted campaigns. Here I acquired important concepts like scaling, code versioning and filtering/moderation of user generated content (being the target audience very young) but in primis the importance of offering uninterrupted service for a paid service. I also proved to myself the ability and advantages of working remotely: most of my consulting was done from Italy and Portugal.
