Main responsibilities: • Development and management of systems sending automated job alerts and click stream tracking (sending between 30 million and 100 million emails per month) • Provide feedback and direction to COO for Cloud Infrastructure (AWS) • Support the remote development team with cloud application architecture solutions (AWS) • Review AWS Costs and advise COO on how to reduce costs • Work with vendors and external parties to ensure smooth system operations (Sentry.io, ElasticEmail, AWS) • Manage, communicate and cooperate with a distributed software development team (Team members were in India, Florida and Canada) • Provide technical and non-technical guidance across organizational units to ensure consistency with the directions and orientations given by COO • Mentor and provide feedback to development team members • Capture and review requirements in the form of user stories • Collaborate with development team to finalize requirements and user stories • Prioritize user stories for the development team based on business

As a Cloud Systems Administrator - my main role was to ensure that systems stayed up and running, and to minimize unscheduled downtime. Also re-architected and migrated existing applications so they could run on AWS.

Worked on various Software Developement projects, hosted on AWS. • Lightning Detection System: displayed lightning strikes on a map in near real time and displayed alerts on screen when strikes are within a predefined distance from a customer asset. • Maintenance Decision Support System: recommends road treatments based on observed and forecasted weather data. Allowing customers to plan winter road maintenance and anti-icing operations • Role was to coordinate work, design and code, troubleshoot issues, improve stability and performance of the system • All workloads were deployed to the AWS cloud, using one of EC2, Lambda, SQL Server, AWS Relational Database Service

• Lead developer for the Redaction module of the CSDC FOI software (Web Application, Java, Oracle, MS SqlServer, ZK framework) • Worked with SVN/Maven and Team Foundation Server for source control/Builds • Participated in establishing the software development process for the FOI team.

• Develop web applications such as a telephone directory, a site search engine and a "shopping cart" application. Including quality control testing according to design documentation. Developed using Flash, PHP and MSSQL • Design and maintain website and intranet, including leading the website design team, redesigning the intranet, maintaining the web server, and developing training materials for information providers. • Provide enterprise-level IT services to numerous clients, onsite and remotely (telephone, remote control software). • Provide support to users for network-, software- and hardware-related issues (Windows, Mac OS X, Mac OS9, Linux). • Tracking and reporting different events in Web server logs (IIS) • Configured the web server (Windows 2000 server, Apache/IIS) • Evaluate and recommend new software and hardware to the Coordinator of Computing Services.
