The Deputy Director of Technical Services & Team Leader of FP provides management and technical oversight for implementation of SUFP work plan in 4 components: reproductive health commodity supply chain, family planning clinical services, community social outreach, behavior change communication, and government facilities’ capacity building. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Provide technical oversight and support to SUFP activities under the project’s key technical areas: reproductive health commodity supply chain, family planning clinical services, community social outreach, behavior change communication, and government facilities’ capacity building • Supporting SUFP Districts Outreach Coordinators to ensure a high quality transfer of skills and knowledge to District Community Medical Office staff. • Assist SUFP team leaders to develop and implement innovative approaches to provide and strengthen family planning support service • In collaboration with Program Manager and Monitoring & Evaluation Team Leader, assist in providing monthly activity updates, quarterly and annual progress reports and as needed technical reports. • Participate in technical networks, meetings and select technical working groups, as appropriate, to represent SUFP and ensure collaboration of relevant technical work. • Liaise with partners in terms of planning and implementation of SUFP activities • Lead the family planning service delivery component by providing input and oversight to all service delivery activities and guide staff on these technical activities. These activities include service delivery quality improvement, training, mentorship. • development of guidelines, training materials, best practices and lessons learned.

Provides Technical Support to Family Planning , Reproductive Health and Safe motherhood Program in Zambia at national level supporting the Ministry of Health. Lead Technical expert for the "Mothers Alive Campaign". Provides support to partners in the health sector that provide services related to family planning, reproductive health and safe motherhood services .Provides technical expertise in proposal development, program implementation, formative research design, monitoring and evaluation and product development. Translate data into program design and implementation processes.Capacity building of community leaders in the areas of HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, child health, malaria Gender Based Violence and family planning.

Support to the Reproductive health program in Long and short term Methods of Family planning and Post Partum insertion of the IUCD. Training and mentoring of reproductive health providers to build provider skills knowlege and motivation. Development of Quality assurance tools and systems so as to ensure compliance within national guidelines,policy frameworks and best practice. Co -ordination with partner organizations. Social mobilization, health promotion, drama group development in the promotion of health services and family planning at community level Development of IEC/BCC strategies in program development to achieve project deliverables.Supply Chain management of methods.

Monitoring and Evaluation of services. Instrumental in the introduction of new clinic services Family planning, Hiv/Aids Counseling and Maternal Child Health services.Instrumnetal in the Baby friendly initiative model with WHO to provide breastfeeding environment for women in the world of work.
