* Experimental fluid dynamics: study of a bio-mimetic flow control system on an airfoil for gust and stall mitigation. Investigating separated flow, vortex dynamics, and fluid-structure interaction. * Designed a custom modular wing to be 3D printed, with a stepper motor actuated flap * Designed and built a lightweight and stiff support structure for wing-flap system * Designed and implemented efficient LabVIEW programs to actuate the motor and record * force data. * Simultaneously measured flow fleld with Particle Image Velocimetry, forces on the wing * with a six-axis force balance, and the flap angle with a rotary encoder.
