Eskild Alexander Bergan

Director of Operations and Production @ Fielden Whisky

About

I am an experienced operations and production leader specialising in premium beverage manufacturing, with a core focus on distilled spirits, fermentation-driven processes, and regenerative supply systems. My expertise spans the entire production lifecycle—from farming operations, grain and raw material sourcing and processing to fermentation, distillation, maturation, blending, and final product fulfilment. Currently serving as Director of Operations and Production at Fielden, I lead the strategic and day-to-day execution of our whisky production programme, overseeing a diverse network of contract distillers, maturation partners, and supply chain and R&D collaborators. My role encompasses all technical and operational aspects of beverage manufacturing, including process optimisation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, underpinned by lean methodologies and continuous improvement. With a foundation in both food science and industrial process control, I bring a structured, data-led approach to scaling complex manufacturing systems while maintaining artisan integrity and sustainability standards. I’m passionate about building production platforms that are both resilient and responsible, marrying traditional methods with modern operational discipline to deliver exceptional flavour, consistency, and commercial viability. I bring a structured, data-driven approach informed by Six Sigma and project management best practices, while remaining grounded in the principles of craft, transparency, and environmental responsibility. My work is guided by a belief that great products start in the field—but are only realised through disciplined systems, empowered teams, and uncompromising attention to detail.
