eldership and mentorship program

The program, called Eldership, was instituted this year by the Department of Residences within the University. The program recruits previous Executive Committee members and has the following aspects to it: - Assistance in the Orientation program for the First year students - Reflection and training sessions to develop leadership skills for the secular world - Seminars for engagement with prominent business leaders The program works hand in hand with Wynoma Michaels Consult. This company is centered around 'change'. Enabling leaders in an organization to produce the change necessary for that organization to move forward. The University and specifically residence culture is undergoing change to be all inclusive of a South African society. The elders provide crucial feedback on structures of residence and how in which change can be effected.
