Robotics Software Engineer

Team Lead of software development. Main responsible for the robotics software stack, both for the robot specifics (ROS2 algorithms development, system integration, deployment on Nvidia Jetson hardware, data collection, robot testing, visualization), as well as the DevOps (CI/CD pipeline, Docker, Git, AWS). Some relevant examples of completed tasks: - Localization. Implementation (C++) and tuning of algorithms to accurately estimate the pose of the robot in complex outdoor environments, fusing sensors like GPS, IMU, 3D LiDAR, etc. Supervision of a master thesis in 3D LiDAR SLAM. - Modeling and Control. Design of a suitable kinematic model for a 4-wheel drive platform. Development and tuning of a custom motor controller package in C++ for brushless DC motors (odometry and control), and a canbus driver. - Navigation. Leveraged the Nav2 framework for mission and path planning, integrating perception sensors for robust obstacle avoidance in 2.5D environments. - AWS Edge computing (IoT). Setup and integration from scratch of the company’s cloud services. Implementation and cloud deployment of a web app (React.js, Node.js) to control the fleet of robots: command (Manual/Autonomous modes), interact (delivery customization) and visualize (CUDA accelerated video streaming, world map location) the robots in realtime. 🤖 Attendance to RosCon 24 Odense!
