The UP Dance Company is the resident dance company of the College of Music of the University of the Philippines. It performs nationwide and in different campuses of the UP System as well as in international dance festivals in Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau and Malaysia. It has annual presentations at the UP Abelardo Hall and the UP Diliman University Theatre. It has premiered full-evening ballets like War Requiem (Britten), Mariang Sinderela ang Bagong Bayani (Prokofiev), Cracked Nut...Maria Clara's Colonial Dream (Tchaikovsky), Ang Kasal (Stravinsky and recently Higanti by Adam. Aside from the dance works from the classics and faculty, it also presents dance majors' works in the dance degree programs, DCPMA and BM,(major in Dance) of the College of Music. Under Artistic Director Prof. Steve Villaruz and Associate Aristic Director Angela Lawenko Baguilat.

Choreographed “HUDHUD” Chants of the Ifugao that represented the Philippines (June 2005) in Gangneung International Folklore Festival, Korea and won acclaims from the members of the audience.

Participated in TARI ’05 (Dance Festival in tertiary Level) Malaysia as a choreographer and performer.

DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE AND PERFORMING MUSICAL ARTS (DCPMA) A 4-5 year course of study with a heavy concentration on the applied and theoretical arts. The major areas available are Asian Music, Band Conducting, Choral Conducting, Composition, Dance, Instruments (Strings, Winds & Percussion), Music Education, Piano and Voice. This is designed for students with outstanding performance ability who do not wish to work for a baccalaureate degree.
