The Legislative Affairs and Public Policy Board (LAPPB) mission is assure that laws and policies promote quality mental health services in the state of Florida. Delegates establish relationships with legislators in their home district, help to find key psychologists to work with legislators in their districts, provide input on legislation, and assist with Psychology Advocacy Campaign drives. Delegates also attend annual legislative day meetings at the Florida state capital in Tallahassee.

Duties include: * Provide neuropsychological evaluation for patients with neurological conditions such as mild, moderate and severe traumatic brain injuries as well as numerous comorbid psychiatric disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder. * Provide education to patients and family members regarding common concussion symptoms and normal recovery patterns. * Make recommendations to help guide recovery, return to work/school, and follow-up treatment.
