Responsible for developing and executing marketing communication campaigns, including planning, writing, editing and scheduling marketing communications that adhered to the university’s brand as well as directing staff and student staff in the creative and administrative execution of projects and working cross-functionally with different departments to communicate project management and manage budgets. Major projects included the Administration and Finance Annual Customer Service Satisfaction Survey, Mustang Shuttle, and Cal Poly Corporation impact videos for social media and Annual report for Cal Poly Corporation Board.

As the Tourism Coordinator, I played a key role in developing, growing and serving visitor activity in the Santa Maria Valley. I also served as the initial point of contact for groups bringing events to our community. I demonstrated leadership, teamwork, project management, communication, customer service, creativity, technical skills, by monitoring and running social media channels, pitching journalists, running Wine Trolley and Restaurant Week, and cultivating relationships with businesses and city officials.

I planned and executed social media strategy and campaign concepts, creating content ranging from posts to stories and reels. I was also responsible for writing copy and producing video and photography assets for campaigns. As the primary point of contact, I managed collaborations, community engagement, and customer inquiries. Additionally, I designed and distributed various marketing materials, such as signage, flyers, and digital graphics. My efforts led to a notable 102% increase in followers, viral videos and the acquisition of earned print and digital media coverage, all achieved on a $0 PR and marketing budget.
