Experience

head coach
oregon association of rowers
As one of the most involved high school sports, students on my team learned new rowing techniques, the meaning of a "team" sport, and the value of time management. In addition to coaching the athletes, from novice to varsity, I oversaw the coaching staff, parent volunteers, and worked with our Board to increase participation, funding, and accessibility to a very expensive sport. I set goals for the athletes and the team; promoted the sport of rowing nationally; planned the annual budget, race calendar, and practice schedule.

local community
Taking on a new adventure, I moved to Seattle at the beginning of 2016. I have took this opportunity to get my son established in his new life, engage in my community, and attend trainings that I didn't previously have time for. I continue to stay dedicated to my community and incorporate what I learned into my career.

With the common goal of providing every child in need with a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer, the Oregon CASA Network works to strengthen all local CASA programs across the state. As the first Executive Director of the Oregon CASA Network I directed the development and implementation of the governing policies and internal and external communication systems. Through collaboration with key statewide partners, legislators, local CASA program directors, and the board I ensured the strategic growth of the startup, membership-based nonprofit. Leading the organization at this stage allowed to me utilize and hone my innovative problem solving skills and creatively engage the community, state government, and funders for the statewide organization. www.oregoncasanetwork.org
