Palladium Project Director for our role on Human Resources for Health (HRH) 2030. Led a team of operational and technical staff to undertake policy, advocacy, health financing, and HRH information systems activities on the project, including country activities in Jordan, Senegal, and Philippines.

Provided senior leadership, management oversight, and coordination for the Health Policy Initiative Task Order 5. Managed technical and operational staff, directed workplan implementation, and provided technical assistance on and review of HIV, GBV, and FP/RH project activities and outputs. Oversaw all project operations including compliance, reporting, financial management, and closeout. Liaised with donor personnel, headquarters staff, and local partners, and represented the project to external audiences.

Provided technical assistance to global and country programs. Developed and updated strategies, approaches, and tools, and supported their use in programs. Stayed abreast of new knowledge, and identified lessons learned and potential best practices; supported dissemination to project staff and partners, and facilitated their incorporation into programs and projects. Represented EngenderHealth with donors and other external audiences. Participated in and supported new program development opportunities.

Led the Research to Practice (RtoP) unit. Developed, managed, implemented and evaluated RtoP systems, projects, services; oversaw annual budgets of over $1.5 million. Hired, supervised, and mentored a team of five. Provided technical support on research utilization, advocacy, and sexual and reproductive rights to research and field program staff. Contributed to FHI’s strategy development and priority-setting process; led the internal Long Acting and Permanent Methods (LAPM) Strategy Group. Managed FHI’s Contraceptive and Reproductive Health Technologies Research and Utilization (CRTU) MOU partner relationships and activities. Identified, documented, and promoted CRTU “under used research findings” in collaboration with Information Programs and Monitoring & Evaluation staff. Co-facilitated USAID’s Maximizing Access and Quality (MAQ) IUD Subcommittee.

Responsible for stakeholder engagement and advocacy efforts. Managed projects,supervised consultants, volunteers, and interns. Coordinated youth participation in UN meetings. Wrote advocacy materials and web content. Spokesperson at workshops, press conferences, and interventions to UN Working Groups. Contributed to organizational development and fundraising.
