The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (VIS) is one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the world. It takes place every year in Vienna, Austria, and Hong Kong, and it sees participants from almost 300 law schools, coming from more than 60 countries. This moot is an amazing opportunity to foster the study of international commercial law and rules of arbitration for the resolution of international business disputes. Every year, students study a problem based on an international sales transaction subjected to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and involving procedural issues governed by one of the many arbitration rules from arbitration providers all around the world.
