He currently works for the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) as an Engineering Specialist III where he evaluates field inspector reports for compliance with Commission rules, generates Notice of Violation letters (NOV) for review and distribution by District Management for non-compliant oil and gas operators, reviews and constructs well plugging procedures, processes alternate surface casing programs requested by oil and gas operators, investigates water quality complaints associated with water wells located in Oil and Gas production areas, and provides regulatory information to both public and industry. Prior to RRC employment, Erik worked as a Mudlogger where he gained valuable knowledge of the oil and gas industry as well as the geological complexity of the oil and gas prolific Permian Basin of West Texas.
