Responsible for leadership and coordination of the Network and Desktop Teams to maintain a strong and productive working environment, in addition to the responsibilities of Network Administrator. Key duties included purchasing and vendor relationships, creating disaster recovery solutions, trouble-shooting technical challenges within budget constraints, facilitating and writing IT policy, motivating and evaluating staff, training and mentoring new staff. Served in leadership role as an internal and external influencer and decision maker. Responsible for budget management and prioritization.

Family owned company for clothing. My responsibilities besides being a part owner were technical consultant for sewing equipment and computer systems.

Support and administration of the Data Center at Anderson University, including Windows based systems in either physical or virtual environments, HP Blade solutions. Responsible for several technology solutions used campus wide including ThinClient technology, VMware (virtualization of servers and desktops), BlackBerry Enterprise Server, IntellySync Server (sync solution for GroupWise and hand held devices).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: setup and administration of VMware ESX and ESXi environments, VMware Virtual Center and VMware VDI environments. Setup, administration and support for all Microsoft Servers. Responsible for Data Center including blade and rack mount servers, SANs and tape library. Administration of Active Directory including GPO’s, DHCP, DNS. System Center Configuration Manager administration. Responsible for backup and DR using BackupExec, Unitrends and ExaGrid. Storage Management of HP and Dell SAN. Antivirus and Malware administration, Network Access Control administration. Administration of the Emergency Notification System, Amatra.

Responsible for planning the information technology future for the organization, as well as for the implementation and maintenance of all systems. Evaluate current system and technology and recommend modification to present systems to ensure effectiveness and to create business efficiencies. Ensure maximum uptime and stability in the company's computer systems and networks. Delivery of all projects with appropriate budget and time frame. Provide technical support to all entities of the parent organization.

Provide general management and direction of the IT department. Key duties included purchasing and vendor relationships, IT budget management and prioritization, facilitating and writing IT policy, motivating and evaluating staff, training and mentoring new staff and interns, influencer and decision maker and working closely with the company president on many IT related projects such as RentManager Online (Property Management System), HR Smart and Lynda.com and others. Technical duties include, VMware Infrastructure Management, Microsoft Active Directory Administration, SAN Management, Unitrends backup and replication used for DR, database administration, LMS / Moodle management, Stoneware administration, HR software, CRM and many other applications.
