* Responsible for planning all purchased product out of the Houston Texas and Atlanta Georgia distribution centers. * Effectively manage two territories of distribution in two different regions of the country. * Consult directly with distribution center managers to ensure accurate picking completion of the shipping product. * Prioritize customer freight and truck routes to maximize company profit while maintaining acceptable utilization of company assets. * Advise service teams and management of delivery route efficiency and establish expectations of transportation capabilities. * Assign and track all product to outside carriers from multiple production mills to service company distribution centers and customers. -Negotiate rates with outside carriers to transport material that cannot be covered on the internal fleet. * Implement new transportation lanes and adjust existing lanes when necessary to boost utilization of assets and increase company profit. * Proficient in SAP/ERP, TM Systems. * Diagnose and solve basic SAP TM issues while consulting with SAP TM super-user when needed.
