Joint Venture between U.S. companies Bunge and Solazyme, established in 2012 to produce Customized Oils through algae-based fermentation processes. The industrial plant, located in Orindiúva, SP, has a fermentation capacity of 3,100 m³ and received a USD 150 million investment for its construction. Key Objectives: Build trust and strategic alignment in multicultural and shared Governance environments, reconciling diverse perspectives within the Board and driving cohesive decisions focused on the Joint Venture’s purpose. Lead the JV teams in completing the Plant’s construction. At certain stages of the project, over 1,000 workers were involved in the construction and commissioning of the facility. Hire employees and build the JV’s Manufacturing/Operations teams. Lead a team of 160 people with an annual budget of USD 40 million (Plant expenses) and USD 3 million in CAPEX. Implement a strong Safety and Environmental Culture. Ensure the technology transfer of multiple strains for the production of various SKUs, including DHA, Capric, Oleic, and Lauric, successfully replicating pilot plant performance on an industrial scale within predetermined timelines. Report to the Board of Directors on all Manufacturing operations. Deliver the products and volumes defined in the Business Plan within the budgeted cost, ensuring flexibility for the introduction of new processes without compromising established commercial commitments.

American multinational operating in the Animal Nutrition segment, with annual revenue exceeding USD 600 million. Fermentation and Premix industrial plant located in Guarulhos, SP, exporting to all five continents. Key Objectives: Lead a team of 230 employees with an annual budget of USD 25 million (Plant expenses) and USD 1 million in CAPEX. Manage Fermentation/Downstream operations for the production of three active molecules; a Premix unit with multiple production lines for granulated and powdered products; and a liquid line dedicated to toll manufacturing. Ensure product exports to diverse destinations, meeting purchase order deadlines and complying with the regulations and requirements of each importing country. Develop and lead Tech Transfer and Expansion Projects involving new processes/molecules - not limited to the Guarulhos plant. Oversee and manage FDA audits at the plant (Phibro exports to the U.S.), developing and implementing action plans and improvements in response to observations and/or nonconformities.
