Support the Supply Support Manager in material management planning and scheduling, including analysis and procurement, repair and the optimisation of inventory holdings and locations. Liaising with internal and external RAN Surface Force stakeholders to meet their requirements including stock level maintenance, demand planning and forecasting and fleet management. Part of my role is maintaining Raytheon Australia’s export control compliance across all material support functions within DDGCSI Supply Support; Verify and undertake requirements for procurement / repair from inventory management tools / analysis; Undertake cross-training across all facets of the supply chain environment, couple with the ability to use software based inventory management systems; Maintain data integrity of inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of DDG Program requirements; Working with the Procurement Team to ensure the efficient procurement and repair of spares in order to maintain inventory holdings for contract requirements and administration and management of warehousing and stores including receipting, dispatching, supply holdings, stock control, packaging, and transport.

Assist the Purchasing Lead and work closely with key stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure that materials are available for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and to replenish ADF stock holdings inventory.

Business Process Management Monitoring compliance requirements IAW ADF and Government policies; Conducting management audits to comply with the Logistics Assurance Branch framework; Mentoring and coaching. Logistics Planning and Management Planning and forecasting storing plans IAW platform specific taskings; Receipt and issue of medical orders to staff for patients; Monthly accounting of Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 drugs; and local disposal of expired stocks. Provide and Risk Assessments on processes and SOPs to ensure that these are conducted IAW all ADF and Government WH&S policies. Liaising with external stakeholders for outsourcing, ordering and procuring of stocks via tender or bids. Account and stocktake management ensuring that the platform is adhering to the approved stocktake plan for the financial year. Performing spotchecks, custodian hand overs, custodian stocktakes and the upkeep of the inventory management system. Maintaining reports to meet compliance and assurance requirements as set out by Government policy guidelines.

Managing the testing, implementation and evaluation of supply chain procedures, assisting in the development of superior level joint supply chain and single service policy, ensuring where appropriate, that it can be reasonably applied in the maritime environment. Liaising with relevant joint and single service stakeholders in the development of supply chain procedures and management systems; overseeing access and data integrity of the Navy LNIDS database and managing priority freight expenditure across Fleet Command including reconciliation of the accounts.

Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed. Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices. Liaising and negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of stock purchases. Coordinating the logistics of purchase orders MLO, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing. Forecasting supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability. Tracking inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS). Analyzing and reviewing supply chain data to identify and resolve issues. Generating purchase and pricing reports, supply chain analysis, and inventory management systems. Performing regular stock checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor. Maintaining and updating records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records.
