As Practice Lead of UL EHS Advisory Services, I am responsible for acquiring and managing EHS Advisory staff and developing strategies/processes/deliverables that generate direct EHS Advisory revenue and larger cross sell opportunities for UL products and services. As a working practice lead, I am also responsible for delivering safety and risk consultation to clients; positioning UL EHS Advisory Services as not only market leader but a trusted adviser in an organization's transition from a reactive, lagging indicator approach to a proactive, leading indicator-based risk and safety program that successfully utilizes technology to achieve “world class” results. Consulting engagement capabilities in the disciplines of human error, culture transformation, risk management, safety and health programs development, audits/inspections, safety management system analysis, industrial hygiene, ergonomics,. Clientele ranges from Fortune 50 companies to start-ups. Assist clients with developing robust training matrices that fulfill regulatory compliance requirements. Additionally, the incorporation of "best practices" to move them beyond the compliance mindset (continuous learning). Forging and managing strategic partnerships with clients and other outside vendors to provide subject matter expertise, revenue joint-ventures, and establishing referral system to bring more business opportunities to the table. Delivering theoretical and technical-based education seminars at various international, national, regional and local associations and trade shows. Subjects delivered are in the areas of causal analysis, leading indicators, safety and health program management, incident/claim reduction (ROI). Authoring and submitting industry white papers and articles to various trade association newsletters, publications, and magazine articles. These efforts have dramatically increased UL footprint in the social media world.

Risk assessment and independent loss control services for customers and business partners. Providing advanced safety consultative services, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major losses and hazard/safety management programs. Conducted on-site loss control surveys to determine risk exposures and assists clients with mitigating those exposures via risk avoidance, risk control, and/or risk financing. Monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual on-site client risk management visits. These visits include loss analysis, re-surveys, making risk control recommendations, and developing annual action plans. Developing working relationships with agencies/brokers to provide consultative service for their clients and policyholders.

Provided on-site consultation services for property hazard identification, commercial building/equipment value estimates, business auto exposures, workers compensation/employee safety assessments, crime prevention, and employment-related practices exposures Analyzed various metrics and reports to deploy advanced loss control and risk management techniques that addressed physical, operational, and employee moral/morale hazards that did and could directly contribute to loss. Advised client's key decision makers and leadership on eliminating, minimizing or controlling risk exposures in the areas of workers compensation, general liability, commercial/fleet auto, human resources and other areas that could present loss exposures and threaten the profitability and operations of their respective organizations. Conducted operational and exposure-based risk assessments and surveys to assist underwriters evaluating acceptability and premium-to-exposure. Presented risk management and safety related awareness instruction to clients, trade association members, and other professional groups.

Landrum Yeager & Associates Worked with prospect and clients to determine commercial insurance coverages to address their unique risk management exposures. In additon to providing coverage for my clients various insurance needs, provided risk management and safety consultation to decrease frequency and severity to decrease their operational costs (premiums) and increase margins and profitability.
