Eric Dresselhuys is an experienced founder and executive across a range of energy / technology companies and applications and has over 25 years of experience working on ideation, formation and scaling of companies bringing innovation to life. Eric is a passionate leader with broad knowledge across a range of product and corporate development, go-to-market strategy, regulatory affairs and team building. Most recently he served as CEO and Board Member at ESS, Inc., provider of long-duration energy storage solutions. Previously, Eric was the Co-Founder and EVP of Global Development at Silver Spring Networks, a leading provider and innovator in the Internet of “Important” Things, Smart Grids and Smart Cities. This led to an IPO in 2013 (NYSE: SSNI) and an eventual sale to Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI). As an active member of the energy industry and a frequent speaker at industry events and author on issues related to energy abundance, system reliability and the energy transition. He has served as an Independent Board Member of AutoGrid (acquired by Schneider), President of SEW and as the Chairman of Enian, LTD. in London. Eric holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin and earned an Executive Certificate in the Internet of Things from the Sloan School at MIT.
