* Serve as liaison between Miami-Dade County Commission and Miami-Dade County Legislative Delegation. * Assist the Delegation in formulating public policy initiatives and assessing countywide critical legislative priorities. * Work with individual delegation members on projects, issues, and events in Tallahassee and in their districts. * Organize and manage delegation meetings on legislative and budgetary priorities. Organize, staff, and provide policy information for special Delegation meetings in Tallahassee that address specific issues. * Work with state agency officials to manage Delegation priority issues.Work with contract lobbying team and County Attorney * s Office to incorporate the Miami-Dade County Commission * s critical issues into the Delegation * s general priorities. * Build and maintain relationships with all Delegation Members, and legislators from around the state, to facilitate policy action.

* Develop legislative agendas and reports before, during and after the legislative session in Tallahassee * Negotiate and implement legislative provisions that advance client interests in the state * s capital and in the community * Coordinate and manage clients * legislative presence and advocacy efforts in the community including participation in legislative delegation and municipal meetings * Track the state budget formation process and where applicable advocate for funding to critical client programs * Coordinate and execute Miami-Dade County * s annual advocacy event * Miami-Dade Days in Tallahassee * Managed and strategized over a dozen Miami Dade County Judicial candidate campaigns * Travel statewide to foster legislative relationships * Participate in campaign fundraising activities for statewide candidates * Attend national, state, and local conferences for networking, policy development, and advocacy purposes.
