Before finding my calling behind the lens, I worked for five years as a line cook and baker in a few of San Francisco's most influential kitchens - a culinary education that continues to this day and informs everything I do. After baking for two years under the tutelage of Chad Robertson - the third apprentice he'd ever taken on - we began collaborating to conceptualize and create the TARTINE BREAD BOOK. The project was a labor of love and launched my career as a professional photographer. The book was published in 2011 and the photography was nominated for a James Beard Award. The book has been translated to five languages and now is in its 26th printing.
