This is something I should have done about 5 years ago but procrastination is one of my super powers, working on changing that! I haven’t been actively involved in the international telecom world for several years yet I haven’t updated my profile on LinkedIn, so what have I been doing? Well almost 6 years ago I was on a business trip to London and a good friend and business associate from Switzerland who was getting involved in a new business gave me a topical oil for my chronic knee pain when I woke up the next day my knee wasn’t it’s normal painful self……of course I said “oh this is typical placebo effect.” So I gave it to one of my business partners in London to use whom hadn’t been able to golf in over two months as his knee pain was worse than mine. Two days later he and I were golfing together. I then called my friend from Switzerland and asked him what the hell is CBD?! Well as luck would have it another telecom friend was also involved in the cannabis industry in Colorado said he was going to grow hemp on a 60 acre parcel on a friend’s parents 4th generation farm. I told him I was in but he said he wasn’t looking for investors as he had some other partners, not to be deterred he finally relented. While we were busy farming, harvesting, drying and finding a lab to extract and process and then wholesaling our isolate and distillate one of the other partners wives, Melissa Dugan, said she wanted to start making products using what we had grown and Pharmstrong was born. Melissa started working with some manufacturers using our crop to make products which help people. The reason I know this and the reason I left over 30 successful years in the international telecom industry is because CBD was responsible for me getting off of 13 years of opioids that I had previously been using for my knee pain, and I knew that if CBD could get me off of opioids it could help anyone. Melissa and her husband Ty have built Pharmstrong with a successful store in Breckenridge CO and a successful US website and they gave me the opportunity to launch Pharmstrong in the UK and, after having to scrap those launch plans during Covid, we are now ready to relaunch.
