* My research in the Dynamic Materials for Regenerative Medicine Laboratory focuses on designing hydrogels that allow for presentation of biochemical and biophysical signals to cells with spatiotemporal control. Specifically, I am using a tunable hydrogel platform to probe the role of cell alignment in ligamentogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal (from adult bone marrow) stem cells. * Assisted in equipment setup and lab organization in the context of a new lab * Organized a chemical hygiene plan, including chemical storage, chemical and biological waste disposal and safety protocols for high-risk chemicals and procedures specific to the lab * Developed protocols for organic synthesis reactions and operation of equipment * Used literature and knowledge from courses to troubleshoot organic synthesis * Cultured and studied mammalian mesenchymal stem cells * Employed photolithographic techniques and formed hydrogels by photopolymerization
